Long story short, last spring I made the difficult decision to leave a classroom position at my public school of ten years and a consulting position with NJEA (New Jersey Education Association). Why? I was offered a job as a K-5 technology integrator at an independent school in New York. There are many reasons at the heart of this decision and we can discuss them in person. My message here is something bigger.
If you know where you belong, pursue it with might and heart. Once the opportunity is in front of you, and it's the right one, grab it. The people who have seen this hunger in you will be there for you. I guarantee you the adjustment period may not be easy but you will be thankful for the growth it offers. Throw on your seatbelt, digest the moment of truth that is in front you and enjoy the ride.
Change is good. Progress is better.
